Bikes for Africa

Vision7 Bikes Mission
Posted by Toby 22-06-2016 20:47:04

The communities of Bournemouth, Poole & the surrounding areas have been brilliant so far, donating bikes for the 'Bikes for West Africa' project. We have had a fantastic response from our Facebook page & we are half way to reaching our target of 200 bikes! So if you have a child's bicycle in good condition & would like to donate it to an orphan child in Sierra Leone please get in contact. We will be giving the bikes a service & a clean before shipping these out to Freetown Africa, there, they'll be transported to small villages & be handed out to the children that have lost their parents due to the Ebola virus. We will keep you posted on the progress. If you would like to be informed via email, please subscribe to our supporter package, again all money goes straight to helping our projects!
Thank you everyone.

Clean Water Project

Vision7 Water Well Mission
Posted by Toby 28-07-2016 15:47:04

Clean water project, raising funds for a water well.
Buya Romende
Village called 'Rogbaren ' a small village with a population of 450 people. The Ebola hit this village taking 65 lives most of them parents. The orphans in this village are suffering due to the lack of food & no clean water, recently this year 6 children have died in this village. They have to walk 10 miles a day everyday to get Bulgur, Bulgur is a wheat grain cereal type food. The dirty water here is full of bacteria's & 80% of deaths are linked to poor water.
half a mile away....
Another Village called Robumba has a population of 600 people, wherein 102 people died during the Ebola. leaving 35 orphans. again, same poverty....
3 miles away.....
Rokanta village, the smaller village of the three, population no more than 200, losing 28 to Ebola, 30% that died were parents. Children losing both parents it most cases, 15 miles walk is the closest place for any medical care, transportation is very poor in all villages. Most deaths & illness can be stopped if they had close access to clean water.

About Us

Welcome to Vision7

Vision7 Bikes Mission

Welcome to Vision7 were we use media to bring you a first hand vision of the charity work we do. Our aim is to give you a real connection to the children who need our help. we bring this connection to you by using documented films showing you who needs us, why, and what we can do to make a child's life a little easier and a little happier. Sadly there are thousand of orphan children in West Africa, who through no fault of their own have been left with no one. Just the thought of this is enough to pull on anyone's heart strings. Vision7 is a Christian faith based charity that works with the community & the churches. We focus on providing practical support to vulnerable orphaned children mainly between the ages of 4 & 15 years that need help and support in developing nations. We hope to relieve poverty as best as we can & hope to achieve alot. From boreholes for clean drinking water, to food, schooling & even mind stimulating activities such as sending out bicycles etc. Vision7 is supported by your donations & a basic clothing line. You can purchase t-shirts & hoodies and 100% of the profits go towards the Vision7 missions that support orphan children.

Testimonial

Hi, my name is Toby, I am 41 & live in Bournemouth, Dorset I have recently turned my life around, thanks to a Christian faith based charity called Teen challenge. I entered Willoughby house back in 2014 to begin a 10 month rehabilitation programme. Before entering I was a lost & broken man, I was suicidal & could not see a way out, I couldn't see what the point of life was. My doubts & my way of thinking led me into years & years of drink & drug abuse that nearly killed me. I was a desperate man & had 2 beautiful children I wanted to be a father to but I could not beat my addictions. Entering Teen Challenge after a drug worker suggested it I have never looked back & It has changed my life. The encounters of God I experienced while in this place was something I've never experienced before, It gave me a whole new outlook on life! Jesus has set me free from my addictions, I am no longer controlled by any substances I no longer drink, smoke or take drugs. Everything that I was looking for & chasing in life I found in Christ, it was only then everything made sense. On the 21st of September 2014 I was baptised, born again & have a new life with a brand new vision! While in a Fridays art class in Teen Challenge I began doodling, & created the Vision7 logo; from this I felt that God has inspired me to use it on clothes . I wasn't quite sure why or what for, as I have no idea about fashion or even clothes! but I was getting confirmation from certain things that made me smile, so..I sent off my drawing to be trademarked & it was accepted, I still had no idea what to do next, so I prayed about it. That following day a visitor came into Teen Challenge sharing his story & what he does & it was helping orphan children. From this I felt led to launch a Vision7 clothing line to support orphan children. After completing the Teen Challenge programme I have put all my savings into getting a few basic clothes made up to sell to help fund this project. I hope to go on to expand, I would be so grateful for your support & I hope we together can do some amazing things & save some children's lives.

I hope you can join me on my journey;
God bless,

Toby
